High Speed Dispersers: Advanced Technology for Optimal Results

High-speed disc disperser or high-speed mixer, is usually used in conjunction with grinding and dispersing machinery such as sand mills for mixing and pre-dispersion. For some pigment or coating dispersions with low dispersion fineness requirements, high-speed dispersers can also be directly used as grinding and dispersing machinery. In addition, it can also be used as paint mixing equipment.

The main working component of a high speed disperser is the impeller, which rotates at a high speed and generates a large vortex due to the rolling circulation of the paint paste in the mixing tank. The pigment particles located on the upper surface of the paint paste will rapidly spiral down to the bottom of the vortex.

High Speed Dispersers

A turbulent zone is formed around the edge of the impeller at a distance of 2.5-5 cm, in which the pigment particles are subjected to strong shear and impact effects, which is conducive to their rapid dispersion in the paint paste. Outside this zone, two flow streams, upper and lower, are formed, allowing the paint paste to circulate and tumble completely.

If there is laminar flow below the impeller, the interaction between liquid layers at different velocities is called the viscosity shear force effect, which can achieve a good dispersion effect.

High-speed dispersers have both mixing and dispersing effects. In the initial phase of high-speed disperser operation, pigments continue to accumulate on the paint surface. At this time, it is advisable to use low-speed mixing to prevent powder from flying, and then gradually increase the speed to increase the dispersion ability.

The Tipco Engineering high-speed advanced industrial disperser is mainly composed of the body, transmission device, disperser shaft and impeller, hydraulic system, and electric control box.

Body: The body is the main component of a high-speed industrial disperser, which supports the transmission device, the disperser shaft, and the impeller, and is equipped with a hydraulic lifting device to achieve the lifting function of the impeller.

The hydraulic lifting device consists of a fixed plunger and a movable cylindrical body, which supplies pressurized oil through a gear oil pump.

The pressurized oil is controlled to enter the cylinder body through a one-way valve and a stroke throttle valve, thereby pushing the cylinder body upward. When descending, the transmission device and the self-weight of the dispersion shaft are used to discharge oil, achieving automatic descent.

The lineage speed is measured by the stroke throttle valve. The air in the cylinder happens to be cleared through the exhaust valve.

Transmission device: The driving wheel inside the transmission box is connected to the main engine through a two-stage V-belt transmission, and the driving wheel is driven by the central wheel.

Dispersing shaft and impeller: The dispersing shaft is designed with a flexible shaft, driven by a V-belt driven wheel and supported by a bearing seat. The impeller is usually a toothed disc, commonly made of a stainless steel sheet.

Hydraulic system: The hydraulic system is used to provide the pressure oil required for the hydraulic lifting device of the machine body. The gear oil pump provides pressure oil, which enters the cylinder body through a one-way valve and a stroke throttle valve, pushing the cylinder body upward.

When descending, automatic descent is achieved by using self-weight oil discharge, and the descent speed is controlled by the stroke throttle valve. Air is released from the exhaust valve.

Electric control box: The electric control box is equipped with an electric control program to control the operation of the main motor and the pump motor. When the main motor is operating, the pump motor cannot process; when the pump motor is operating, the main motor cannot process. According to user requirements, ordinary or explosion-proof electrical configurations can be selected.

In summary, the emergence of Tipco Engineering high speed dispersers has greatly improved production efficiency and product quality, bringing convenience to the production and manufacturing of various industries.

With the continuous progress and innovation of technology, it is believed that high-speed dispersers will play a more important role in the industrial field, providing strong support for process improvement and product innovation.
